Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's achieved huge popularity with her stories she tells of her young heartbreak. Swift's love for music started when she was a young age. From children's plays to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. the following year she began playing guitar and began to write songs. Swift got the inspiration to compose her own songs by country music artists category, like Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift was only thirteen when her parents made the decision to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm to relocate into Hendersonville Tennessee. She could then devote all of her efforts to contacting the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
