Rene Russo was born in Burbank California. She was the daughter of Shirley (Balocca) Barmaid as well as a factory laborer, and Nino Russo. Rene's father, a mechanic and sculptor, left the family around the age of two. She was raised by her mother Rene as well as her sister Toni by herself.
